Hey all! It's kind of embarrassing how excited I just felt when I discovered that tomorrow's (Wednesday's) toy Lightning Deals on Amazon were primarily Melissa and Doug. :) Really, though, their toys are just that great! I imagine many of these will sell out quickly (some of today's deals sold out in 15 minutes - yikes!), so do set your clock if nabbing one is important to you.
For those not familiar with Lightning Deals, a limited quantity of each item is made available beginning at the starting time for each deal (listed in bold below -- all times are Pacific). The deal price is revealed when the deal starts. The deal concludes either when all the allocated inventory sells out, or when the time expires.

Melissa & Doug Sunny Patch Bella Butterfly Tea Set: This ridiculously cute tea set goes on sale at 6:00 a.m., so set your alarm early! We love Melissa and Doug's darling Sunny Patch line -- that's who all our sand toys and our cute little dustpan/broom are by -- and this set is guaranteed to be a hit.
Melissa & Doug K's Kids Pull-Back Vehicle Set: An adorable toy for younger toddlers, these very highly rated (4.8/5 stars) cars are soft for little hands, but still have the pull-and-go mechanism that kids love. They also go on sale at 6:00 a.m.
Melissa & Doug Shape Sorting Clock: Melissa and Doug apparently makes two different shape-sorting clocks (why?), and we recently got the second one (below) and love it. If this one seems more appealing to you, though, go for it! It goes on sale at 7:00 a.m.
Melissa & Doug Magnetic Car Loader: Ooh, I hadn't even seen this toy before tonight -- how cool is this? We have a Melissa and Doug Car Transporter, but not one with a magnet -- fun! It goes on sale at 8:00 a.m.
Melissa & Doug Wooden Shape Sorting Clock: This is the second of the Melissa and Doug shape-sorting clocks that are going on sale tomorrow, and the one we have here in the X household and LOVE. This one goes on sale at 8:00 a.m.
Melissa & Doug Jumbo Knob Wooden Farm Puzzle: I'd guess that most of my readers have seen or currently own one or more Melissa and Doug puzzles and already know of their great quality. Here at our house, we've worked our way up from these basic knob puzzles (great for 1 year olds) to the chunky puzzles, and now up to the jigsaws. This farm puzzle is a perfect starter puzzle for any young toddler. It goes on sale at 8:00 a.m.
Melissa & Doug Birthday Party Cake: All of these Melissa and Doug food play sets are adorable and perfect for toddler hands. This one goes on sale at 9:00 a.m.
Melissa & Doug Joey Magnetic Dress-Up: We have one of these in the hopper for Toddler X's Christmas gift this year -- always fun to buy in advance. People love these magnetic dress up dolls, and this is a great boy-themed one. This also goes on sale at 9:00 a.m.
Melissa & Doug Pizza Party: Like the birthday cake set, above, this adorable food play package gets you ready for a party with your own pizza toppings. It goes on sale at 10:00 a.m.
Melissa & Doug Fold & Go Mini Dollhouse: The perfect gift for the toddler who likes to take her dollhouse everywhere. How cute is this thing? It goes on sale at 10:00 a.m.
Melissa & Doug Food Groups: Another super popular Melissa and Doug pretend play item -- this one goes on sale at 11:00 a.m.
Melissa & Doug Deluxe 50-piece Wooden ABC/123 Blocks Set (colors may vary): We've had these blocks for years now -- I know this, because I can visualize my picture of Toddler X sitting on our coffee table on his 11 month "birthday" with "11 months" spelled out in front of him with these blocks. They're just good, solid ABC blocks with classic designs on them, and they still get plenty of play time today. They go on sale at 11:00 a.m.
Melissa & Doug Stamp and Sort Mailbox: This is the item I'm most excited about. I've been eyeing these at stores for a while now, as Toddler X LOVES getting the mail and sending "letters" to his grandparents. I'm setting my alarm for 11:00 a.m., when it goes on sale.
Melissa & Doug 20 Animal Magnets in a Box: We love Melissa and Doug magents. We have two sets of the letters/numbers magnets, as well as a set of dinosaurs, which is basically the same as these animal pieces. The entire back is magnetized, so no worry about small magnets escaping, and they hold up pretty well to Toddler X's abuse. These go on sale at 12:00 p.m.
Melissa & Doug Cutting Fruit Set: We used to have this set and didn't love it -- one of the only Melissa and Doug items I've ever been disappointed with. But I know many people do love it, so I'm including it here. It also goes on sale at 12:00 p.m.
Melissa & Doug Wooden Table and 2 Chairs Set: Oh wow...this deal is gonna go fast! I would love to get this table and chairs set for our playroom -- classic and strong, much better than the wobbly thing we currently have -- but it will depend on how good the deal is. If this is something you're interested in, I would recommend you set an alarm for 12:00 p.m., when these go on sale -- bigger ticket items tend to go quickly.
Melissa & Doug Triple - Layer Party Cake: One of Toddler X's pals has this adorable wooden cake, and the kids all love playing with it, serving pieces and stacking them up and changing the toppings. If your toddler has a birthday coming up, this is a for sure hit. It goes on sale at 1:00 p.m.
Melissa & Doug Doll Family: This is the sweetest little doll family, featuring grandma and grandpa, mom and dad, and three kids, all with bendable limbs that make them more fun. These are sized to fit in M&D dollhouses and most others as well. They go on sale at 1:00 p.m.
Melissa & Doug Show-Horse Stable: Toddler X was going nuts over this toy when we saw it at Whimsy the other day, and always loves the similar one we have at preschool too. If your toddler likes horses, this is a winner. It goes on sale at 2:00 p.m.
Melissa & Doug Deluxe Grocery Store / Lemonade Stand: I'm going to go ahead and say it: I'm jealous of whatever toddler gets this grocery store/lemonade stand combo. We've seen and played with this at various play places, and it is just awesome -- such a perfect pretend play venue! Unfortunately we really just don't have room for another large item in our house, but wow, this toy is cool. If you're looking for a single big item for the holidays, this is a good one. It goes on sale at 2:00 p.m.
Melissa & Doug Wooden Bear Family Dress-Up Puzzle: Another cute M&D puzzle toy -- we have something similar to this with Curious George, and Toddler X really enjoys it. This goes on sale at 3:00 p.m.
Melissa & Doug Deluxe Magnetic Responsibility Chart.: Not every toy has to be about playing, right? This one could actually cause your toddler to chip in a little around the house. And then perhaps he or she could come hang out at my house a while... This chart goes on sale at 4:00 p.m.
Melissa & Doug Giraffe Plush: This massive plush giraffe, which is no doubt bigger than your toddler, goes on sale at 4:00 p.m.
Melissa & Doug Let's Play House! Wash and Dry Dish Set: Wow -- a M&D toy I've never seen before -- I didn't think that could happen! This Wash and Dry Dish Set has great reviews and seems super cute. It goes on sale at 5:00 p.m.
Melissa & Doug Ice Cream Scoop Set: Another adorable M&D pretend play creation! What toddler doesn't love ice cream? This set goes on sale at 5:00 p.m.
Melissa & Doug Low Loader: This is an awesome toy with rave reviews from dozens of happy parents. Toddler X got a very similar item -- the M&D car transporter with 4 cars -- as a stocking stuffer last year, and loves it. If they weren't so close, I'd probably be buying this as well. It goes on sale at 6:00 p.m.
Melissa & Doug Deluxe Wooden Multi-Activity Table: I always see people looking for deals on train tables -- well, here you go! This one isn't train specific, and I've seen it used for dollhouses and Legos as well. It goes on sale at 6:00 p.m.
Melissa & Doug Abby & Emma Deluxe Magnetic Dress-Up Set: These are the same as the Joey magnetic dress up doll listed above. We've played with these on several occasions, and they're just excellent toys. They go on sale at 7:00 p.m.
Melissa & Doug Deluxe Puppet Theater: Puppet play is so much fun for toddlers with you running the show, and then suddenly they realize that they can do it too, and the fun only gets...well, funner. :) This is a great, highly rated puppet theater, hopefully for a great deal. Sale starts at 7:00 p.m.
Melissa & Doug Deluxe 10-Piece Alphabet Nesting and Stacking Blocks: You see these popular blocks everywhere, and I'm interested to see what the Amazon deal turns out to be. You can sometimes find these at Marshall's or Nordstrom Rack for under $8, so if the Lightning Deals price is much above that, I'd skip them. They go on sale at 8:00 p.m.
