Last month, after celebrating the longest day of the year with a late evening walk to our local ice cream shop, I asked SV Toddler readers to share their favorite locations for frozen treats in the South Bay. Dozens and dozens of people commented, tipping us off to Silicon Valley's top ice cream, gelato, custard and frozen yogurt spots.
With National Ice Cream Day coming up this Sunday (really -- that's a thing), I decided to dig up the thread and pick a family ice cream outing for tomorrow evening to start off the "holiday" weekend. If you want to do the same, check out the ideas from my readers. Rather than copying and pasting all the responses, I'll just share the link to the post.
So, there ya go! Grab a spoon, a bib (we like the Ikea full-coverage smocks for ice cream eating -- though who am I kidding, he still is a disaster!), a roll or two of paper towels and a camera (I love photos of Toddler X eating ice cream!) and head to your local spot.
