- Friday Off-Site Adventures and Curiosity Fridays with Curious George at the Bay Area Discovery Museum, Sausalito. There are a slew of fun events going on throughout the day. Check the link for times and details.
- Happy Hollow Go Wild, Berryessa Branch Library, San Jose. 2:00 p.m. Description says it's for ages 5+, but most kids 5+ are back in school by now, and little kids like animals too! I'm not going to say to ignore the description, but if you "happen" to be at the Berryessa Branch Library in the early afternoon and you "happen" to stumble across some cute little creatures from Happy Hollow in the community room, I'm guessing they won't kick you and your toddler out.
- Nancy Cassidy Concert at Magical Bridge Playground, Palo Alto. 5:00-7:00 p.m.
- Morgan Hill Friday Night Music featuring Sage, Downtown Amphitheater, Morgan Hill. Opening acts at 6:00 and 6:30, headliner at 7:00.
- Redwood City Music on the Square featuring Petty Theft (Tom Petty Tribute), Courthouse Square, Redwood City. 6:00-8:00 p.m.
- Santa Clara Concerts in the Park featuring the Megatones, Central Park, Santa Clara. 6:30-8:00 p.m.
- Free Outdoor Movie (Home), Camden Community Center, San Jose. Final movie of the summer series. Seating starts at 7:30, movie starts at dusk.
- Free Outdoor Movie (Big Hero 6), El Quito Park, Saratoga. Final movie of the summer series. Event begins at 7:30 with Dottie the Clown; movie starts at 8:30.

- 110th Birthday Celebration, Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Live animal show with animals from Happy Hollow at 11:00 a.m.
- Egyptian Festival , St. George Coptic Orthodox Church, Campbell. 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
- Palo Alto Festival of the Arts, University Avenue, Palo Alto. 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- Assyrian Food Festival, Assyrian Church of the East, San Jose. 11:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
- Magician Donny Crandell, Alviso Branch Library, San Jose, 3:00 p.m.
- Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad End of Summer Pasta Dinner and train rides, Oak Meadow Park in Los Gatos. Dinner is served from 6:00-8:00 p.m., with train rides from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
